Program Sekolah Selamat: What is it and why is it important?
Program Sekolah Selamat (PSS) is a program launched by the Ministry of Education Malaysia to create a safe school environment for all stakeholders, including students, teachers, staff, administrators, counselors and others. The main objective of PSS is to ensure that teaching and learning activities and co-curricular activities can be carried out without any disruption from internal or external factors. PSS also aims to foster a culture of respect, tolerance and responsibility among the school community.

How is PSS implemented?
PSS involves the participation and collaboration of all school members in various aspects, such as:
Monitoring and controlling the entrance and exit points of the school before and after school hours.
Supervising and eating at the school canteen.
Being present and assisting students in every program and activity.
Observing and reporting any suspicious or dangerous behavior or situation.
Managing and responding to any crisis or emergency that may occur.
Discussing and instilling awareness and safety in the classroom and every program.
